Welcome Welcome to the Inova Office of Continuing Medical Education. We are delighted to share the array of continuing education courses and educational activities that Inova offers. Our courses are designed to be informative, collaborative, and participatory and give you the opportunity to meet world-class faculty and an engaged community of colleagues. The Office of CME is a strategic partner to departments and centers within our institution, region, and state as well as to national organizations whose mission and vision complement our own. COVID-19 Update Out of an abundance of caution for our healthcare workers and our patients, we have implemented the following changes at Inova CME: Regional CME events for the Spring have been cancelled Virtual options are being explored for Fall regional CME events. More information will be disseminated as it becomes available We encourage remote attendance at Grand Rounds and other regularly scheduled series where possible Each department should utilize their Zoom option and can still obtain CME credits on ICMES If there is a need to further cancel events in the future as the system monitors COVID-19 cases the information will be disseminated as it becomes available If you have questions or if the CME office may assist in any way please contact us at cme@inova.org We are expanding our online course catalogue in order to allow providers access to a robust library of CME education. After logging into ICMES, click on "Dashboard""Claim CME Online Credits"then search for the course you are interested in, or scroll through the offerings. We are also now providing credits for reading/attending COVID-19 related events and materials (including virtual town halls and Dr. Motew huddle messages). Click the calendar tab to find upcoming CME Activities and Regularly Scheduled Series The Virginia Board of Medicine is requiring all licensed prescribers to obtain 2 hours of Type 1 CE in the 24 months prior to your next biennial renewal on pain management, proper prescribing of controlled substances, and the diagnosis and management of addiction.
